Welcome to the Music Production miniseries. I will be walking you through the creation of a Pop EDM track from start to finish. These tutorials are conducted in REAPER but can be followed by users of any DAW. The plugins used are FREE at the time this video was released. For Part 1 of this miniseries: 🤍 In this video, we’ll start to layer in the rhythmic and melodic instruments on top of our chord progressions. In particular we’ll go through laying down the bassline and melody for the song. Then, we’ll discuss the various tools available to edit the MIDI data, including: quantizing the notes, adjusting the note velocities and note length, and duplicating our media items to fill out the arrangement of our song.
